Amy Lowry
Registered Dietitian - Dunedin
BSc (Human Nutrition), MSc (Dietetics), NZRD
Some information about me:
I’ve been a Dietitian for 12 years and began my career working as a community dietitian and have since worked in several private roles including bariatrics, ACC (Sensitive Claims, Pain Management Services and Training For Independence), women's health, and gastroenterology.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, particularly doing outdoor activities. My hobbies include going for walks, especially in the forest or at the beach, attending group fitness classes, reading a good book, or enjoying a tasty meal!
My Dietitian philosophy:
“I love to help people find an approach to eating that suits their taste preferences and lifestyle, is practical, and not overwhelming. Everyone is unique and should be supported with that in mind – at their own pace, to meet their needs, and acknowledge and address the things that are important to them. I am passionate about helping people develop a more positive relationship with food, whether that be just improving their general nutrition or supporting recovery from disordered eating or an eating disorder”.
Additional Qualifications:
Dietitian Prescriber
Eating Disorder Training for Dietitians via the Mindful Dietitian
Trauma Informed Care Training
Hours of Work:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9.30am-2pm
